Konstantinos Meimaris

Konstantinos Meimaris, left us on July 1, 2021 at the age of 77. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, whose life was marked by his deep love for family, hard work, and generosity. Born on July 9, 1943 in Kalymnos, Greece, Konstantinos was the son of Emmanouil and Themelia Meimaris. He was one of ten siblings, including Maria, Mikroula, Evangelia, Frideriki, Andania, Ioannis, Gerasimos, and his cherished brother, Konstantinos. In 1960, Kosta and his family emigrated to Adelaide, Australia, in search of new opportunities. Later, he returned to Greece, where he married his lifelong love, Kalliopi, Together, they began a new chapter in their lives, moving to the United States and settling in Astoria, NY, where they raised a family. Kosta is survived by his children, Mani (married to Margaret), and Anna (married to Xenofon), as well as his beloved grandsons, Niko and Kosta, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Throughout his life, Kosta cherished the simple things: a love for the ocean, frequent visits to his homeland of Greece, and a fondness for cooking and eating great food and especially his favorite Stella Dora cookies and milk. His greatest passion, however, was his family. He dedicated himself to providing a better future for them, embodying the values of hard work, perseverance, and love that define the American Dream. Kosta was a skilled cook, and his home was always a gathering place for family and friends. His love for preparing and sharing meals was a reflection of his generous spirit. He enjoyed hosting and creating memorable moments with those he loved, and his table was always full of laughter, stories, and warmth. A man of immense kindness, Kosta’s presence lit up the lives of those around him. His unwavering support, joy for life, and dedication to his family made him a beloved figure to all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, siblings, and countless friends who were blessed to know him. Konstantinos Meimaris will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide those who loved him. His love, generosity, and wisdom will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Kosta. You will never be forgotten.
